Hi everyone,
Yesterday I tried to connect my second video card (SLI) (GeForce 280GTX). I have the Corsair HX 1000 Power Supply, which is modular PSU. The reason I'm writing this is because the PSU have the Peripheral and Sata black connectors and 6+2 PCI-e blue connectors. I took the black connectors and connected to my second video card, instead of taking blue ones. Then I powered up the computer, it did run for a second then shut down. There are still lights on the motherboard indicating that it's receiving the power. Although, I cannot power the computer up. I took the power supply to my friend to check if it's working, and it is. :good: I even checked it with the paper clip (green + black), it's working. I took another PSU (Corsair HX520) hooked it up to the mobo, computer won't power up, there are no LIGHTS on the motherboard also...
My question is, is it the motherboard I fried up, or something else?
Thanks
