Friend cant connect to internet

So yeah i tried many things but its not working.
So router supports dhcp and my friend computer adapter says dhcp is on. But its not getting good configuration saying that its undentified. My friends router is same as mine. My adapter support dhcp too and i dont have to do anything it connects itself but why my friends pc cant.

Are we talking wired or wireless? Do an ipconfig and see what IP address its getting assigned.
 
Wired and im getting 169.xxx.xx.xxx
And i assume dhcp works cuz it stopped working after i reinstalled his windows.
And one more thing. This pc was taken to my friends friend house to take change some parts and when he finished he pluged in ethernet cable and it worked. But this doesnt.
 
It's not getting the proper IP address. Try a different cable and port on the router. Are you sure the correct driver is installed for the lan port?
 
Try updating to a newer driver.

You can also statically assign an IP in that network (likely 192.168.1.x) and see if it's a DHCP client issue or a lower layer one
