from camera dvd to intervideo windvd creator

please give me a hand i am trying to import scenes from dvd coming from a video camera into intervideo windvd creator but the program does not recognise the files how can i do? thank you

I have the regular video camera that records to a small tape. When I need it on the PC I play back and record with the TIVO! Then copy it over to my pc and convert it to divx for burning. Work great...
