From NVidia-> to-> ATI

Im selling my card and my friend gives me some crappy old ATI-card until I´ll buy 7900GT. It´s 9250 or something like that so I have questions for you guys.

What do I have to make to assure that this transformation will work for me and my comp?
Should I just remove my NVidia driver and all those driver installer files from C:\NIVIDIA? I have also heard about some driver cleaner program. Could you give me some advice on that matter?
 
first i would un-install all the drivers and apps using the add/remove program list. Then i would delete all obvious folders, such as C:/nvidia. then turn off the pc, and insert the new card. Then just get the latest updates from ati.com
