From Which Website Can One Download Free E-books?

Yes, my question is thus. I know one can download e-books and other documents easily from p2p software, but is there a structured website whose sole purpose is for the organization and distribution of free e-books from which a knowledge-seeker such as myself can download?

One source told me to go to Abika.com for free e-books, but to my despair he led me off on a fantasical adventure driven by curiousity, the emotion to which i readily submit myself, nequiquam. Do not bother with that website, for it deals with issues with which you should not care to deal for obvious reasons.

what kind of books do you want? do u not have a library nearby to use? For general reading books there is project gutenberg
