FSB & DDR2 RAM question

I have a question about the ratio of FSB to RAM?

I have a FSB of 133MHz quad pumped, so effectively 533MHz!

And i have DDR2 RAM 266 MHz, so effectively 533MHz! (double pumped)


So i would assume that the FSB & RAM would = 1:1 no?
 
No it's not in a 1:1 ratio, the bus speed is quad pumped however DDR/2 is only double.

So if your FSB is 133MHz which gives you a 533MHz bus speed, then your memory speed would be 133MHz with an effective speed of 266MHz. I believe you are in a 2:1 ratio.

Doesn't that give you 532MHz bus speed, correct me if I am wrong.

I'm new at this stuff aswell.

Thanks for clearing that up, in the specs i did see the 2:1 ratio but i though that it was 266MHz x 2 (and that would have equaled 1:1)

but know i realize where i went wrong.
