FSB freq.

The Front Side Bus frequency in my BIOS seems to be very slow (only at 100Mhz) , and the max FSB is only 266mhz when in the manual, it says that the max FSB for my Motherboard (Biostar M7NCD Pro) is 400mhz. (OC'd) :confused: Should I put it up to 266? or should it be able to go higher? My processor should be able to go at 333mhz.

Thanks :)

FSB = 100,133,166,200 (and more recently, 800,1000,1200).
Bus Speed = 200, 266,333,400,533, 800, 1600,2000,2200 (because of DDR and QDR). So to get a 400MHz bus, set your FSB to 200

Sorry about the 266mhz typo, I meant 200. When I put it up to 200, XP wouldnt start, then when I put it back down to 100mhz, it booted an said there was a "serious error that Microsoft XP recovered from..." I'm guessing 200 was too fast.

I would be surprised if this fixed it but its possible that you might have to format the system after the FSB/bus-speed change? Try tweaking the voltages?
