FTP Software Will NOT connect

Hello.

I just upgraded to vista (not that, that matters because I have the came problem on my other Windows XP machine that I just reformatted). I tried multiple software programs to connect to my FTP.

No applications will connect to the server but I mainly use filezilla and here is my problem. When it comes to the PASV command, the errors read:
Error: Disconnected from server
Error: Could not retrieve directory listing
Error: Timeout detected!

I turned off the passive mode and then it gets caught up on a message like this: PORT 192,168,1,102,238,52

After the TYPE A command in otherwords.

Can someone help!!??!!

Well I would recommend another FTP/HTML editor : HTML Kit.

You'll need to setup the login which I think you pretty much know how to do it... If not I can help you .

Try to Login, if it doesn't work, it might be from the server itself... Also try on different machines Vista and XP... it could be Vista security or something I don't know...

Is this an FTP that's hosted on your own machine? If so, are you behind a router? Also, what port are you using for it? Is it your webhosts ftp? If it's a webhost FTP try using port 21. Have you always had this issue from the start or has it only been occuring recently?
