Does this thing use a caddy, at all?

Recently puchased one, "I think it's a burnt out adaptor" - seller.

Turns out it was, turned right on. Battery worked, 2x 256MB, 750MHz, great condition, ect...

Problem is there was no hard drive, but I had no idea how those HDD's worked! I couldn't find any caddies on the net, so... does it use a caddy at all? The HDD cover that came with it says:

Hard Disk Drive (10GB)

MODEL: FPCHDD65
P/N: CP085701-01

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Pictures (if needed) are available upon request :) Thanks!

My Toshiba L305D has a strange HDD bay, too.. it looks almost like there is no caddy, but it has a very thin piece of metal attached to it that has a ribbon on one end, which allows you to pull the HDD out of the SATA connector and remove it.

If yours is anything like that, I'd say you could probably get away with not using a caddy.. or you could fashion one yourself, since it'll be nearly impossible to find one at this point.

If you'd like, PM me in a bit as a reminder, and I can post some pics of my HDD bay to show you what I mean..

I have a Fujistu Siemens Amilo laptop an it does have a very thin caddy, which fits it really tightly. Flimsy shiny metal thing. I think all it does is provide 3 holes for attaching it to the chassis, so if you can attach ity in someother way you may be able to get around it.

Hope that helps, Doug.

No idea, but IDK how still :(

I read stock it had a "10.0GB LP (12.7mm) Removable Hard Drive."

Does that read to anything?
