Full System Restore Delete Recovery Partition?

I want to test out my system with a full factory restore, but have the option to recover my data later if I wish. I have created a recovery partition with a system image backup in it. If I do a full factory restore to my pc will this partition be deleted?

Depends on what your system manufacturer is and how you're doing the recovery. If you're doing it through the windows recovery manager you should be ok, it will simply restore onto the primary windows partition (or possibly give you an option). The HP/Dell/Whoever software usually blows away all partitions except its own recovery partition and simply restores windows. If you want to be completely sure you should be able to copy that system image backup to a USB device (if I remember correctly from the windows recovery options).
