I'm mostly going to be using this comp for gaming, and some school work etc.

CPU: A64 X2 3800+
MB: DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D
Memory: OCZ Platinum Edition PC3200 DDR400 1gbx2
Case: Thermaltake Tsunami
DVD burner: Pioneer
Some floppy drive lol
Video card: eVGA 7800 GT CO with the copper heatsink
Hard Drive: Seagate 300gb SATA 7200RPM
CPU HSF: most likely the Zalman 7000-cu-led

is that good? or should i get a power supply from another store nearby that hold the enermax liberty line and the ocx powerstream

anything i miss? any other recommendations?
 
That looks like a very nice setup. You will be very happy with it. Everything looks compatible, and doesnt look like your missing anything. What's your budget and intended use by the way? Good luck with your build.

:D thanks, my budget is around $2000 canadian, im planning to keep it at stock speeds for now an like around 4 months later, i'll probably oc the cpu to around 2.6ghz. i was going to go with the gtx, but i only have a lcd monitor that supports 1280x1024 and a 17" crt that supports 1600x1200 (5 years old lol) so i just went with the 7800gt so i can also futureproof my system. i want this system to last atleast 3 years before it goes mid range, and around then ill probably oc it a bit further, o yea is the enermax psu from tigerdirect good enough? or should i go for the extra juice and get a ocz powerstream 520w or a enermax liberty
 
I dont know a ton about PSU's, but you need to look for a good +12V Rail rating. All of those PSU's looked sufficient, but it kinda depends on your budget. For a great guide, read the PSU 101. It has I think 2 of the 3 power supplies you mentioned, and what to look for.

yep, i think all of those psus have enough amperes on the 12v rail, and the enermax i chose from tigerdirect has a dual 12v rail with 18A on each rail. and apparently enermax is a quality psu maker so i should be ok..thanks for ur help:)
 
well i added it all up in 3 different sites, an they all came around $1900-$2000 canadian, srry bout posting it in the wrong forum:D

BTW, this is my first build

Yep, those most definitely will work with that motherboard. The way you can tell is that the RAM is Dual Channel DDR, with a memory speed of 400MHz 3200. Your mobo matches these specs., so it will work.
