Future Hard Drive Data Transfer Rates

I know currently that a big bottleneck with most modern day computers is hard drive transfer rates. With the new Solid State Disk technology coming out I was curious if the data transfer rate is improving?

Aren't data transfer rates off most normal hard drives currently 20 to 60 megabytes per second?

Isn't SATA3 ~3gb/sec? hard drives need to get faster.

Something interesting I just read. Intel is going to use Solid State Hard Disk technology coming out to boost reading speeds up to 250 megabytes per second (I assume it will in reality be about 125 megabytes per second, but that is better than a lot of hard drive read speeds currently).
