FX-8120 3.8Ghz is it ok to push more

I'm new to the whole over clocking so I'm not sure what it's safe to push too.
the FX-8120 is 3.1ghz out of the box and I been OC too 3.8Ghz but putting it to x18 from the motherboard. Under a heavy load like Bf3 on ultra I seem to only hit 41c. I use a Corsair water cooling system which I put the fans to 100% while gaming.
 
Yeah, its safe to keep going. Make sure you have C1E/C6/Cool&Quiet/AMD APM Master Mode all disabled.

Run Prime95 and check temps then. That will stress your CPU.

If it fails, as in bluescreens/freezes, or it gives you warning, you need to bump up the voltage if you want to go even further.

Ok I just started the prime 95 stress test to see if I stay within safe temps and stability
 
Ok let it run for like 4 hours or so. It should be fine. But if not, either go down to a lower ghz or increase voltage.

OK I'll late that run but so far it's done two types of tests and seems ok only at 39c and no crashes or warnings so I'll check up on it in a few hours

You wont have any problems at 3.8 at stock voltage. Most of the ones I've had will do 4.0 at stock voltage with the stock cooler. What Corsair cooling do you have?

I can't remember the model but it's kind of standard nothing to high end
 
I hope you update this with some temp readings under stress tests and such. I ordered an 8120 yesterday and would love to know where I could potentially push it. :D
