GA-EX38-DS4 memory/FSB standard

I'm going to be building something with this motherboard (assuming Newegg gets a stock of it soon) and I've got a question for someone who owns the board/just knows better than I do.

I was planning on using a 1066MHz FSB processor and DDR2 800, but the FSB/memory standard Newegg lists is 1600/1333 FSB, DDR2 1200.

Can I use them anyway?

It's backwards compatible, right?

Yeah its fine, your ram might run under spec at stock speeds. But it should work just fine.

I have the X38-DS4, mep916 has the EX38-DS4

Oh, I didn't even realize you guys had different models. The EX38 just throttles things while idle for energy efficiency, right? Same board otherwise?

I'm mostly concerned about the FSB, I'd like to get the E7200 which has a 1066FSB. I'd just overclock it to 1333, but the user isn't into that. Maybe I'll convince him to get the E8400 instead.

Anyway, if that's the case with the RAM I can just get some 1066 or something. The board has RAM voltage controls right?

I believe everything you've said is correct.

BTW, you can control the RAM voltage in .1 increments. DDR2 1066 is fine, as that's the speed I'm running without issues.
