Hey can anyone help me?

Ive got this pc game called Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory:

But my system keeps lagging while playing it and im unsure why because from the specifications it needs my comp should play it.

While playing it the game will be great and then all of a sudden the game will just lag then return to normal again:confused:

Heres the games specifications-
(My comp specs are in siggy)
* Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP OS (Windows NT 4.0 not recommended for clients)
* 100% Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP compatible system (including all 32bit drivers)
* Intel® Pentium® III 600Mhz processor or AMD equivalent
* 128 MB RAM
* 32 MB 100% fully OpenGL® compliant 3-D video card
* Microsoft® DirectX® 8.1 or higher (not included)
* 271 MB free hard disk space for game files
* 500 MB free hard disk space for swap files
* 100% Microsoft® Windows® compatible keyboard
* 100% Microsoft® Windows® compatible mouse
* 100% Microsoft® Windows® compatible sound card

The problem is most likely your integrated video. It's just not strong enough to play that game. Are those the minumum system requirements or the recommended?

Hi,

I think those are the Minimum specs.

The Graphics are actualy realy good while playing the game and so i thought i just might not have enough memory resources available.

By the way i have this little box on my desktop which displays my memory usage while just running windows xp and it always shows that 77% of my memory is been used?

Could this be why? as obviusly something is using lots of memory on my comp.

Yeah, that could be the problem. If you have only 23% of your memory available when just running windows then there's something running that's sucking up your resources. Try closing programs that you don't need running and see if that frees up some of your memory.

Ok im gonna Try closing programs that you don't need running.

Im also gonna defrag my hard drive as i havnt defraged in a long time (I heard not defraging hard drive for a long time can slow games down?)

Also im gona take a look on Msconfig and see whats running at startup to see whats using my resources.

Il tell you after ive done all those.:)

The Intergrated Video is your problem.

It's 64mb Intergrated so.. yes.. its going to lag at times.

Turn your weather effects and so for to low and see how it does.

Also turn your corrona distance to low.

Yeah i definatly need a graphics card AGP i think:D 64Mb sucks:D

I did what you told me-

Turn your weather effects and so for to low and see how it does.

Also turn your corrona distance to low.

And the game seems to perform a whole lot better already:)

Im now gonna defrag my comp.

Type this in console: /cfg_showfps

I do believe that is the command.

That command will tell you how much frames per second you are getting.

The higher the better!

No that command is incorrect.

But i think with my intergrated graphics they wont be very high:D

By the way nice system you have yourself there in your siggy Antiodontalgic:)
