hey guys, i think i have asked this before..but...
i have a small problem, my laptop is a widescreen currently set on the 1440*900 resolution, im trying to play Call Of Duty:UO on it but the game doesnt have a 1440*900 resolution option....so the game currently runs widescreen and looks very stupid lol
is there a program or something that will allow me to run it in say 1024*768 mode without it going widescreen?? (i.e. so there are 2 black "gaps" either side of the game). i have tried playing it in windowed mode, but that just makes my cpu useage 100% and lags to sh*te....

this is what it looks like atm...

if possible i would like it to look something like this

picture quality isnt amazing becuase i did it quickly in paint.....

thanks =D

If you have the latest drivers for your computer you should be able to make custom resolutions. By doing the following you should find where to make custom resolutions.

Right-click on your desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced->(Tab with the name of your graphics card)->Something like resolutions or screen something.

Can't remember exactly how it's done with nVidia cards right now since my new is an ATi based card.
