Got an old game 2001 Soldier of Fortune,Special Edition.Loads onto the computer but when i click to run it this comes up.Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

I have tried it in compatibility modes from windows 95/98/me/2k or NT 4.0-sp5.
Looks a good game so please come up with a solution,cheers.
 
Is this the original soldier of fortune or the second one? If you have tried all the compatibility modes you might just have to dual boot windows xp with whatever you are using now.
 
It's the original soldier of fortune,i'v got vista so it's not going to work.Never mind thanks for your reply.
 
If you have xp try installing it on VM and install the game, chances are it's not compatible with vista
 
Cheers Astii but i'v got Vista,never mind it can go in the bin with the other games that dont work anymore.
 
If you have win7 ultimate or professional, and a CPU with virtualization you got do windows xp mode and probably use those old games privided they are nt graphically intensive, as the windows xo mode will use software for graphics (afaik)
