games are lagy

When I play games (online and offline) It's lagy. I turned the graphics on low and it helps a little but still lagy. When I check the system requirments it shows it is compatable. And its just short of the requmended requirments. I'm running of a wireless router. Is there any thing I can do to stop the lag?
 
My computer specs are:
100 gb harddrive
1gb ram
1.86GHz processor
128 mb intel video card

I'm trying to play half-life 2 and CS:S
 
its most likely ur video card, because my pc sais im all recommended except my video card and i also have a 128 mb video card

I'd go ahead and invest in a new graphics card now if you want to play those games, you should be able to get a decent card for about $150 to $200 that'll last you for a few years... :)

a few years !!! i think u would be lucky to get it to last a year and a half unless u get a second and sli but ur still investing more money and a card for 200 would be a 7600gt or something along that line or soemthing ati equivelent unles ur getting a 7950gw2 it aint gonna last a few years
 
If you're on a tight budget like me, and can't afford to blow $300 just on a graphics card every year, then you can make it work...

I got a 6600GT over a year ago for about $150 and I can still play any game out there, now you can get a 6800 for that same price...
