games don't run

this is a problem of a friend of mine:

his computer doesn't run any game exept Sim City 2004.... very wierd. Even simple games like starcraft. I have tried to put the graphics on minimum but it won't work. And also I looked for problems at the hardware manager--> = none.

he has a MSI 128 MB RX9250-T128 RADEON 925OS. I think it is a problem of the hardware - the video card had some kind of inperfection. ... but I am not sure at all... anyone is familiar to this issue?

Trying switching back to integrated video, and that'll tell you whether it is the video card or something else...

if i disable the non-integrated video hardware then the integrated one will work automatically?

What exactly is the problem? What happens when he tries to run the other games?

te message is simply the following:

"could not initialize video configuration setup" (with 90% precission sure)

I tried to run Fifa 99 (low video usage-easilly run by that pc that is almost the same as mine wich runs till doom3) and another soccer game.

both showed the same message. I also tried to disable the video card on 'device manager' but the game still showed the same error window.



If nothing works i may try to format the pc. If it does not fix it then it mush be the video card itself.

Hmm..., might be a hardware issue, possibly with the motherboard...
