I have Doom3 and quake4 and they won't run on my Ryzen 9-9900 or my Ryzen 5-3500 but I can run Rage on my i5 so can old games run on newer computers? I ask the game forum but got no answers.
 
Those games were back in XP days. Highly doubt they will run on windows 11. The only thing you can do is install using compatibility mode and see if it works.
 
Depends on the game, usually platforms like Steam make it the easiest.

Some games like GTA3 refuse to run well or have loads of issues.
 
I’ve tried running old games like Doom3 and Quake4 myself on newer PCs, and honestly, it’s hit or miss. Some work with compatibility mode or fan patches, but others just crash or don’t launch at all, especially on Windows 10 or 11. Steam sometimes helps, but you still run into weird bugs or graphics issues.
