I'm digging the card even though I could never afford it right now lol. Why do you need a 1000w PSU though? You should be fine with a 750w, which would be cheaper, if you ask me. Just curious.

He may be accommodating for future upgrades considering the fact hes getting a mobo with two PCI Express x16 (SLI support), although he still wouldn't really need 1000w with 2 GTX 280's, would he?

Also dude, you got any need for suggestions or anything cause that build looks good to g? Other then Dvd drives and the such.

Aye that's true, I didn't even think about that. I don't know, as far as running 2 of those bad boys in SLI he just might need 1000w depending on what else he has running at the time. I mean add up a quad core cpu running over 3GHz, maybe 3 hdd's, 4 sticks of ram, multiple fans, etc, and he may just need all that extra juice to power everything but who knows.

Yeah that's what I figured, 1000w sure would give room to move.

If your going to spend that much on a video card, you can get a 4870 x2 for that price.

What games are you going to be playing on the PC???

I agree

Edit - after reading above, maybe it is good having a 1000W PSU.....
