Gaming and Windows 8...

I am currently in the final stages of planning a gaming PC. I would like to know which operating system would be best (i5 3570K, GTX 660 Ti, so it isn't going to be an underpowered PC...)

I have heard a few times that Windows 8 is not good for gaming...

Is this true?

Yes it is true. It is best for working and such, but sucks for gaming. Stay with Windows 7.

You can use Windows 8 just fine for games. Just install and run them like you would on any other edition of Windows.

I personally prefer Windows 7 though.

Because as i am on a tight budget and Windows 8 is cheaper i am turning towards it...

I have had Windows 8 and i had major difficulties getting games like Minecraft and BF3 working.
