Gaming comp help from the pros

Hey all, I'm purchasing my first real gaming computer. Just from reading around the net I have gathered information about what to purchase. Before I pull the trigger I would like some advice. First of my games I will be playing are World of Warcraft and bf2/3. My budget is 1500 max, I would like to stay away from 1500 if possible.
I have no experience in putting computers together, so I'm buying my computer through Ibuypower. I'm a Fedex driver that picks up there, so hopefully I will get some sort of discount. I also figure If anything goes wrong I can just take it back that same day. Anyways here what I have selected

If you guys think this is a rip for 1448 I'm sure I can get a small discount. If I cant is it better to go with newegg?
Also any help on what to pick would be great also.
 
In terms of system components, its not too disimilar to mine, so it will smash those games, in terms of price, i don't know as the USA prices are different to Aus. Good system, nicely researched.
 
You could probably knock off $100 - $200 or so if you bought the parts from Newegg and made it yourself, but then you'd have to make it yourself. So, all in all it's not too bad for the price. You should be set for the next 4 or 5 years with any game that comes out with that rig... :)
 
and btw the i5 2500k will perform almost exactly the same as the i7 2600k in games today, in a year it might get a little dit more, but currently there is minimal difference between the two, also there is no point in the sound and lan cards, the built in ones will be fine, and that'll knock another 1-200, along with the 100 from the cpu, allowing you to get a much better gpu, that way you can play anything at super high settings and maxing out for the next year almost.
 
Not true. that claim is made by people who cannot afford the 2600K. The 2600K will beat the 2500K in almost all situations especially at lower resolutions.

I can recommend this processor very very much. When you opt to step down to the Core i5 2500 then you'll forfeit on hyper-threading, get 2MB less L3 cache and the core clock goes down 100 MHz. It will save you some money alright, but the performance decrease is very much noticeable and measurable.

i said that the difference in performance was minimal, un noticable really untill you throw some multitasking in, then you might see the difference, and i know the i7 will beat the i5 any day, just not by as much as you'd think if you didn't really know much, and past the 220 buck point the return value drops much faster then the i5's will, even though it will still be more technically.
 
Well I made a few changes. Thanks for the replies also. I droped the sound card, and lan card. I also went with the i5 2500k. This is just a gaming machine I dont plan on doing any crazy multi tasking. I selected the Gtx 560 ti evga superclock card. I'm just curious latter down the road in a few months, can I buy the same card and make it a SLI. or is there something special I have to do. The mother board I chose was a [sli] gigayte GA-z68a-d3h-b3 - 3x pci-e 2.0 x16 lucid virtu technology I eventually would like to go with a sli config, but i don't have the cash right now.
 
as long as you kept the 750 watt cosair you'll be fine with the sli, you'll just have to get some sli cables then so you can link them together
 
similar to my build... not sure how you got to 1500$ though...
I'm actualy getting it built for me instead of assembling at home and im at 1208.(something cents)
