Gaming computer $1000 budget

Wait till the 2500k is in stock or buy it from somewhere else. Much harder to overclock without the unlocked multiplier.

Get a different case. No cable management, and it just looks tacky. (To me)

Switch the hard drive for a western digital, samsung, or seagate.

why is Hdd's so much at the moment i remember when i built my computer last year hdd's for my 1 tb only costed me 89 and its even 6Gb/s.. but hdd changed and ill see what i can find on the 2500k other then those factors is it a good build?

there was some flooding or something in SW asia where they build them. I think though that they are riding the high horse on it.

so dumb that would explain it though! heck im half way attempted to get a SSD since the prices are close right now and then later when they come back down to get a data drive

I've never been a fan of AMD processors. I'm sure they have great potential.

There's a couple desktop builds here under the gallery/desktop tab that may give you some insight. It may be worth while waiting for the items you want most. You can see those systems perform well.

first all the way and a 2500k would be preferred for overclocking, also you want a different case, look at the pics of the inside against this one

the holes in theis are for routing the cables to reduce clutter and inprove airflow, which the modular psu will help but nothing can make up for a good case. also with this ones rebate and way cheaper shipping it's a good bit cheaper, plus a better brand and better qulity

Stick with your original idea of going with Intel.
Find the Intel i5-2500K, it's way better than the non-K.
I'll recommend a 1TB WD Black.
As for the case, I know it's not crazy looking, but the Fractal Design Define R3/XL has amazing cable management and barely any noise coming out of it.
