I see your Q6600, why not one of the newer 45nm tech CPUs such as the E8400? Its a C2Duo and slightly cheaper, better cache and uses less power.

Nah, HD4850 is better IMO. $20 less and beats the 9800GTX on some benchies. ;)
 
Than the E8400? No, the E8400 is faster since it has a standard core of 3.0GHz. The thing with the Q6600 is that it is quad-core, you can do more things at once, not necessarily faster.

Take brian's explanation: It's like having 4 mini-vans instead of just 2. They are not necessarily faster but you can take more people at once. ;)
