Hey Guys,
I have to buy a good gaming pc for my course at university,
It needs to be new and no more than £1000 and easily delivered in the UK,
It needs to be a good spec for both playing and designing games (because my course is games design),
I am not going for a year so it needs to be fairly future proof and it needs to be new and ready-made with a genuine copy of windows and come with all the stuff (mouse, keyboard, etc...),
I know nothing about computers really so i was wondering if anyone knows any good websites i can buy from that are good value for money or just what i should be looking for....
Please help i'm a bit
Cheers guys,

If you're not taking the course for a year, wait at least HALF a year before you even start considering a computer. Prices will drop, new things will come out. Especially if it needs to be future proof. Win vista is coming out, hybrid hard drives, and new graphics cards with direct x 10. (do a google on dx10). With the new windows, a lot is changing. Wait a bit.

Plus, unless your doing heavy graphical work, liek with photoshop and rendering things in 3d, i don't think your computer has to be that tough of a monster. You could get a fairly cheap pentium 4 computer, or soemthing cheaper by amd and still be able to program efficiently. I think most programming programs are built to use little computer resources. I wouldnt know though, i'm in high scool.
