i don't think professional will give you anything you need that home premium won't. for the money i'd go for a corsair liquid cooler over those noctuas. i5 2500k will do just as well i'd bet. no chance any game over the next 5 years will use close to 16gb's of ram, nothing even hits 8gb's now. and i'd take the money saved to get a 2gb hd6970.

Off topic, but have they announced a release date for D3 yet? I've wasted hours upon hours of my life on D2 and am ready to waste hours more on D3.

lol they haven't but there was a fake email going around saying jan. 17 but i'm thinking early feb. Also ty for the quick reply's. i'm looking into the ati card but not too skilled in the liquid cooling so i'll have to read up on it.

I'm thinking of ordering the parts at that start of the new year but unsure about the mother board. I'm looking to spend no more than 2k. I am gonna get the XFX HD6970 also I looked into the liquid cooling and decided on Corsair CPU Liquid Cooler CWCH60.

ASRock ATX Motherboard Z68 Extreme 4 was the mobo i thought i wanted but now not so sure. Any thoughts?

Yeah those extreme boards are really nice. But you should look into the i5 2500k instead of the 2600k. D3 doesn't require that much power, especially from the CPU.

memory limit on homepremium is 16 gig, if you want more than that you will need to go to professional (24 gig) and then if you want even more, you need ultimate.

What's the difference between ASRock z68 Extreme4 Gen3 "MB-Z68X4G3" and z68 Extreme4 "z68 Extreme4". MB-Z68X4G3 looks a little better but is there anything that uses PCI 3.0? Also I'm deciding to get Windows 7 Ultimate since it was cheaper on Amazon than getting Professional.

why the extra SATA cables? Otherwise, a cracker of a build.

A SSD is primarily used as a boot drive as they are small capacity. For example, a SSD will have the operating system and related files, along with a few choice games. A slower but cheaper and larger mechanical drive will host movies, music and everything else.

In case I need the extra slack and I don't wanna wait to play games if one fails a month or two down the line. Diablo is crack for nerds.

Not sure but i was thinking about the Intel 320 series 120 GB SSD. Boot Drive and a couple games maybe. Not sure if it's worth the $180 dollars lol.

IMO, the intel drives are reliable but aren't fast at all, compared to other drives. I would say a pretty good choice is the Kingston HyperX 120gb. It's fast, and Kingston has an excellent record of reliability and an easy RMA process if anything goes wrong.

These are my ideas for my upcoming Gaming Rig. (Thx for the advice):D

16GB of RAM and the 2600k is still overkill. That'll shave $150 off the build right there for unneeded parts. And your motherboard comes with 4 SATA cables, so you won't need those unless you want extras.

Here's the difference between windows home and windows ultimate:

Location Aware Printing
Domain Join and group policies control
Remote desktop host
Advanced backup (network and group policy)
encrypting file system
Bitlocker
applocker
directaccess
BranchCache
MUI Language packs

Do you use any of those? Chances are, no. And yes, win7 home can't address over 16GB of RAM, but you will never use that much gaming with this machine. By the time you will, your video card will be outdated, your CPU will be, and your RAM will be slower compared to what will come out.
