Gaming Computer Help

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and looking for advice on computer hardware. I play WoW (World Of Warcraft) which is very intensive on systems so I've decided to build a new gaming computer that can keep up.

What I'm looking for is:

Mother board: Has at least 2 pci-e slots, few pci slots, Ethernet port, 4-6 RAM slots, USB 3.0 would be nice, and compatible with SSD.

Side note: I was looking at the Intel i7-960 CPU but from what i was reading your better off buying a 930 or 920 and overclocking, is this accurate?

Cooling System: Water cooling preferably, I'm aware that some go to only CPU and others go to CPU and GPU; I would like it to go to both if possible.

GPU: Would like to link 2 of them in the 2 pci-e's

Harddrive: Solid State Drive 120GB

Case: planning on water cooling, so something that is compatible. Transparency is a plus.

Power Supply: Was thinking 1,000.

RAM: I can figure out once i have the board figured out.

CD/DVD drives: don't really care will probably buy cheapo's

OS: Windows 7

Any recommendations on brands or specific hardware/items would be great, please and thank you
P.S. Budget ISN'T an issue.

I could be wrong, as I don't play WoW, but I was under the impression that one of the many reasons it has been so popular is that it looks good and is not very system demanding at the same time.

I would think a 9800GT vid card paired with 4GB memory and any modern dual-core cpu or better would be more than enough. If your sole goal is to play WoW well, even flawlessly, most of the components you listed are overkill.

On the other hand, if you're wanting to build a gaming system to play other games besides WoW, then whatever. What games do you plan on playing and do you plan on playing any future games? What else do you use your pc for?

Its mainly for wow and school, but i would like to build it so it can handle more system intense games that may release. With my current setup (intel Pentium d 830, nvidia gefore 240gt, 4gb ram, on XP OS) can barely handle 25 man raids dropping down to 3-5 fps
 
WoW is very easy on systems. (looking at the system in my sig) substitute my CPU for a dual core, drop memory to 2GB, and GPU to a 3850, and it will still be playing on full settings at steady 45-60fps.

Multiple graphics cards are pointless really unless you have older cards and want a cheap performance boost or have more money than brain cells. They draw more power than a single card (in general), are more expensive than a single card (in general), use up more space than a single card, make the internal temperature of the system higher (in general) and there are more drivers and compatiblity issues with mulitple card setups.

What is your budget for this?

do you need an operating system?

do you need a monitor or any other peripherals?

buying windows 7 home

i have all peripherals

currently i have a Pentium d 830, nvidia geforce 240gt, 4GB ram, on XP OS and it can barely keep up with 25 man raids dropping me down to about 3-5 fps in combat

The Radeon has a faster core clock, more memory, and more processor units but less effective memory clock....in addition it doesn't have any speed listed for the shader clock, does this mean it doesn't have 1? also it has a 2.1 pci-e and I'm not sure if my board supports it.

The Geforce supposedly overheats really easy on air cooling
