Liquid cooling needs to be topped up every couple months but other than that, no there is no special maintenance. If you run some kind of aftermarket liquid though, sometimes the system needs to be flushed because particles can build up on the block and within the tubes restricting flow.
 
you have to have collant you cant use water, and it has to be refilled every time it gets low witch is every few months, or few weeks depends on how much your computers on, if you have a pump that hooks to your psu then it takes alot of power.
 
Yeah make sure to maintain it, wouldn't be to good to have water all over your motherboard/components or overheating occuring.
