Hi everyone hows it going? I've got a build from a mate if you guys could just look it over and critique it please:

The sitch is that my friend definitley doesn't want to build (I've already tried convincing him, so plz don't turn this into a thread about how he should build his own). He's got this build from www.dinopc.com.

Could someone tell me how it will perform please, and if anything should be mjorly changed. He's gonna be using it for medium gaming if you get what i mean nothing super dooper demanding on highest settings etc. He wants to know if it will run HL2 on fairly high settings.

Get a more powerful PSU, and maybe a better Graphics card. It should run Half Life 2 very well, but probably not crysis.

Yeh we were thinking we'll upgrade the PSU and GPU after christmas, once he's got a bit more money. Does anyone else have any opinions?

He's changed the PSU to a better one, 600watt, and put the RAM down to 667MHz from 800Mhz. Will everything still be OK.

cheers,
salman.

its a pretty good machine for the money, half life 2 will run fine on high settings i would say. although episode 1 and 2 might not be able to maintain high-ish settings. Good for the money :) what about a monitor and such? he already got tht stuff?

How much is that Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6750?

why not get a Q6600?

there a great price on ebuyer ;)

Thanks for the replies everyone, my friend should have already ordered the comp. Nevakonaza if he changes the CPU the price goes too high as he's getting the PC built from dinopc.com, however its always an upgrade that can be done in the future.

Thanks
salman.
