Gaming computer present (laptop)

My family is buying a new computer for my little brother who is really into gaming like Starcraft and league of legends and some other games but mainly those at the moment. So we were planning on buying him a good gaming computer anywhere between $500-$1000. I don't know anything about requirements the laptop needs but as long as it's good for gaming, lasts a good amount of time, and whatever else is good. All i've heard so far is that alienware are good gaming computers. Lemme know your suggestions.

alienware are overpriced and made by dell meaning horrible support if anything happens, where, country, do you live, if in the us check newegg.com, they got the best prices in generall.
 
With that budget you couldn't get an alienware either way. I would consider an ASUS gaming laptop and sometimes acer has some good ones.
 
The lenovo doesn't seem too bad but I'd like to compare it to other good gaming computers so does anyone else have some suggestions?
 
compare it to the 1k buck alienware m11x or whatever, this is bigger, faster, and all around better, other than the case, alienware got that 1 thing beyond right.
