Gaming Computer Questions

Ok guys, I posted earlier about a computer I customized on-line and showed you guys the specs and what not, and turns out some of it wasn't the best. So I am going to need some help. It would be GREATLY appreciated if anyone (as many people as possible would be great, for some comparison) could list some key traits of a gaming PC, such as memory, mobo, vid card, etc. My price range varies from $1000 to $2000 (if it has to come to that). Im looking for a computer that can run high end games (such as WoW). So to summarize this whole thing up, what are the most important things i need to look at when selecting parts for a gaming PC, and whats the average price a gaming PC would run for? Thanks so much for the help guys and girls..it is greatly appreciated

I would go for a AM2 or Conroe CPU with DDR2 High frequency/ Low latencie RAM on a ASUS mobo then maybe a 7900 GT/GTX :D
You should aim for 2gb of RAM and probably a SATA 2 HDD

Even if the prices go down for CPUS you could save a lot and spend more on other things like a motherboard or graphics card.

Connnnnroooeeee....

Anybody hear that?

Conroe will eat most of AM2 for dinner, lunch, snack, brunch, breakfast, tea, supper...

You could fit in a 7950 if you wait for prices to go down. At least 2 gigs of RAM, a 10,000RPM HD, and a high end DFI/ASUS/GIGABYTE mobo.
