My suggestion is to plan on a motherboard that will handle a dual processor and a superior graphics card. As we all know, the graphics card plays a large role in freeing up memory for a faster computer. I am somewhat partial to the asus boards and athlon processors but thats just me.:D Good luck, i'm jealous of your 1500 limit

if you look at my thread you will see i am also building a gaming PC but on a low budget however i have found out that an intel core 2 duo or quad and a Nvidia Geforce 8800 is a really good way to go i am still looking into motherboards but so far thats what i have come to :D

oscaryu1 - does the board u listed support the upcoming chipsets that r coming out here in a few months so i can easily upgrade? .. also the Graphics card.. dont i wanna go with EVGA over BFG Tech? also u forgot a case.. and the mouse and keyboard r not nesessary. Im gonna buy the mouse / keyboard and monitor at bestbuy outside my $1500 limit

1) Yes it will. It will support the new 45nm processors with a BIOS flash.

2) Yes you may. Depends mainly on you. I chose it as a.. simple model. You can change manufacturer's all ya want.

3) Tips - G11, MX-518, and Less than 5ms LCD response time.
