hi there! yeah im new... :)

need some advise on a gaming rig im putting together.

ive bought....

cpu: qx6700 ( yeah, i know its overkill, but i got it for 300 euro's! )
ram: 4 GB OCZ pc2 8500 1066mhz sli ready edition ( overkill again, but still got it at great price. )
harddrive: 2 x raptor x 150gb.
harddrive: 2 x 500gb spinpoints.
graphics: for now, im gonna re-use my 7950gx2. waiting to see what comes out, otherwise im gonna buy an 8800gt.
power: seasonic 700w m12 modular ( taken from my rig i sold on )

need to buy....

mobo: asus p5k-vm g33 <-- cant find a board that can support my ram and still give me great overclock features. the brown pcb is muck, but its still a great board.... any alternatives?

cooler: i didnt get a stock cooler with my qx6700, so i need something that will work perfect with it. im planning on ocling it a lot so temps are vital.

case: ive order'd this case. the nzxt rogue. dark red edition.
http://www.nzxt.com/products/rogue/
but im having doubts to the amount of room the cpu cooler will have.

so any suggestions on changes i could make? i think its a fairly solid build, and total costs are looking at 1,000 euro.

ah right. the review i read didnt list pc2 8500 as being supported.
only PC2-6400, PC2-5300.

thanks for the find on that! looks a lot nicer than the horrible brown pcb :)

Don't judge by looks.

I'd get a DDR2-800 motherboard and overclock...

Still... I wouldn't recommend Samsung... bad HDD company in my opinion...
