RAM prob
the OCZ reaper PC8500 with 2x2gb $66.99
M/B the gigabyte ga-ep45c $132
and go with the vista home premium as basic just is not with it

yuki953,what he said above is not right...he says a quad is not good for gaming....Its fantastic and more games are now taking advantage of Quad core which will leave the duals behind poorly performing.

ask the guys here who run GTA IV on dual cores ;)

the rest of your wishlist looks great,i would however change Xp for Vista X64 home premium so you can use DX10 ;)

well, im using vista right now, and im not saying its "bad" but ive read some reviews saying vista has had some.."a lot" of compatabilty errors

and to the guy who told me to get a hard drive... relook at the wislist buddy

compatabiltiy issues?

maybe when vista first come out, there has been a service pack released

i do game using 64bit vista and a q6600 with no problems at all

I'd spend a little more on the speakers and go with the Logitech G51's.

OH I SEE NOW YOUVE ADDED THE HARD DRIVE THAT YOU FORGOT TO ADD IN THE FIRST PLACE
and now your specs are over the grand you want to pay SHAME
still wouldnt buy that hurried hard drive insert m8 as its crap

eh, not really. Just about any half decent brand items are vista compatible now. If you want to use your computer for a media PC, Vista would be a better choice. Vista's Media Center VERY good and is better than almost all the other media programs that come with tuner cards out there.
