Gaming Headset

I'm looking for an amazing gaming headset for my new computer that I just bought on newegg. (~$1,500 w/mouse,keyboard from razer)

I have about $150 to spend but will save up if it's going to be worth it for better audio/mic.
My computer is using this motherboard for on board audio but again if it's going to be worth it I will save up for a quality sound card.

These are the headsets I've been looking into. There was a review from ign saying the Medusa 5.1 ProGamer V2 is only $120 and is AMAZING, but aparently they don't sell those anymore so the NX 5.1 Headset is the closest you can get.

Does anyone have any suggestions on amazing gaming headsets?
 
From everything i have been reading on these boards you are not going to motice much of a difference with a good headset unless you do have a good quality dedicated sound card. If you want the sound to be as good as you seem like you want to i would use that money to get a sound card then save up for the headset.

I see alot of people reccomending the HT Omega's for great sound so maybe this one?

Although there is a sound section in these forums you could probably get better advice from since most people looking at that section knows alot about it.

I actually just bought Sennheiser PC350 on sale so I'm going to need to get a sound card, and someone told me I'm going to need to buy an amp too cause the impedance is high. So now I have no clue what I should get.

You will want to do one of three things:

1) Buy a sound card with built in amplifier. HT Omega and Asus both make cards that have integrated amplifiers(you will be talking ~200 for those cards).

2) Buy a sound card, and buy an amplifier.

3) Buy a sound card, and build an amplifier. I have personally built a few variations of this, soldering experience is preferred if you are building though:
