gaming issues in vista

so i am using vista as my primary os, it works well and i love it, i played advanced warfighter, it works fine i assume most of my others work ok too.

i am having trouble with this one game though, condemned:criminal orgins, it locks up for short periods of time over and over, i think it has something to do with my sound card/audio i assume this because every time some one starts to talk it locks. is anyone else having issues like this or know how to fix it? i was trying to find the hardware acceleration settings in vista but had no luck, can some one tell me where to find it?

not gonna be an easy one to fix i dont think, vista is in beta for a reason. Although someone may prove me wrong

Its not necessarily a problem with Vista, it seems like it could possibly be an accelleration problem like he said.

thats kinda what i figure

probably i mix of my sound card, drivers, and the game, but i have no idea where to set the hardware acceleration level anyone know how to find it in vista?


edit: i installed advanced warfighter and it works fine except for the fact that i cant run on high texture or else i get a graphics glitch,

im thinking its that hardware acceleration but i dont know how to adjust it
