What makes a gaming keyboard or mouse any different than a regular one, I play a lot of games and might consider buying one if I knew the advantages.
Thanks,
John
Well, the main reason is that some gaming keyboards have programmable buttons, so you can press a button and have it do a command (ex. pressing G5 would be just like pressing B+CTRL+F+9, or w/e). They also have backlights, and some have LCD screens.
wat makes a mouse a gaming mouse is the sensitivity, and resolution(dpi). take for example a logitech g5 has 2000dpi and has laser technology that more accurate that an optical mouse. thus giving you bettere response. there are alot more reason but i g2g so ill post some more reaasons later.
ok now that im back
another thing that separates gaming mice from just regular mice is that they have more programable buttons. for example the g5 has buttons where you can change the sensitivity while you play from 2000dpi to 800dpi to 400dpi. you might ask y would this be good? well its good becuase lets say you like to have a very low sensitivity when sniper so you get a more accurate shot but a higher sensitivity when your using an assualt rifle becuase you just need to get the croshair on the enemy as fast as you can b4 he shoots you.
Also since the newest gaming mice use laser technology instead of optical tech you get a better response.
if you dont have a laser mouse, move your mouse side to side making the pointer move across the screen. slowly then really fast. once you do it really fast the pointer tends not to go all they way across the screen but will lag or only do short lines. While if you have a laser mouse and do that, it wont happen. its kinda hard to explain y but heres a link if you want to learn more about it. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/features/opticaltopics/US/EN,CRID=2090,ad=opt
y not???
wireless technology is better than before where you hear a lot from people saying it sux, lags, and doesnt respond well. now (depending on wat wireless mouse/keyboard you get) its not really a problem. ive read in forums where people use a mx1000(a wireless mouse made by logitech) for gaming and have no wireless lag problems and the mx1000 isnt even ment for gaming! and im sure many people here use wireless keyboards for gaming and have no problems.
but i kno that some people still dont trust wireless and i can understand that. wireless keyboard/mouse isnt for everyone.
lol.... Do you still use corded phones? Corded Cell phone? You turn your TV on and change channels manually? Is your car alarm remote corded? lol.... its 2005 almost 6. Your living in 2001.
