Want a good gaming laptop for the max budget of $1500. Or between $1000 an 1500. I'm gunna do some light 3d modeling an gaming. Like American truck simulator an farming sim 17. I don't mind the extra power if it seems I'm asking for over kill I might do gta 5 an heavier titles. Thanks.

I'd personally look at either MSI or ASUS, both have a wide variety of capable machines.

The general specs you'd want to be looking at are:

Intel i7 6700
8-16GB of DDR4 Ram
GTX960M graphics (maybe even 970)
an SSD for main drive (windows)
an HDD 1TB for storage

EDIT: That being said, if you can stretch your budget a bit to $1549, this machine has new 10-series graphics, 12GB ram, and a fast SSD (for $50 more at the $1599 price point - you can get a 17" screen, and 16GB ram too)

I absolutely agree with MSI laptop that is designed and with specifications for gaming. It has a good performance according to my nephew here.

At this point, I'd recommend a new machine with GTX1060 6GB graphics card, 256GB solid state (only $50 difference from the best buy unit - from Newegg) The only thing to note is the first one has 12GB ram!

(For $1599.99 you get the upgraded gpu, upgraded ssd, and 16GB ddr4 ram)

I see what ur saying.. but to be honest I was gunna finance the machine thru best buy if I can get deferred interest for 12 months. I don't like doing that but I don't want to drop the full buck going to school an all now..otherwise I'd go Newegg. Idk I'd have to see how things look here in a few weeks to but that's kinda my predicament

I'm not trying to be a financial advisor here, but financing from BestBuy sounds like a terrible way to go. I understand about not wanting to put out a large sum at one time, but your potentially going to buy an already old machine, and then make payments on, by the time your done - the machine is gonna be worth virtually nothing.

At the end of the day, only you know what works and doesn't work for you, best of luck in your decision though!

I just see how else I could do it. I'm making money an not broke so to speak. But I just don't wanna drop 1600 all at once. An i figured I can just make the payments an even pay it off sooner than 12 months.. I know it can be a sketchy deal all around but I'm kinda lacking Choices

Well I just don't want it to be made out as a no go situation. Like don't finance thru best buy period. But I don't see a issue as long as I pay it off each month. I just paid off my vehicle so that frees up significantly

I know for myself, I buy almost all large purchases straight up, I don't live beyond my means and I don't live off credit. Everyone has different situations and should only do what they feel comfy with.

I'm sure you'll choose an option that's most comfy for you, best of luck whatever way you go.
