Gaming Monitor for Xbox360

I would LOVE to get a monitor for my xbox360. I play on one of the old..old huge t.v.'s. It's big enough, but only 480p. I tried playing on the hi-definition t.v. in the living room, but there is a distinct lag between the system and the video. For instance, I can move the joystick and hit the edge before any kind of movement occurs on the t.v. , so I overcompensate and get killed easily. What causes this and what do I need to look for to get a hi-definition monitor that won't have this?

P.S. anything bigger than 20" is fine with me. price range is $100-$200.

In my opinion you are better off with a large TV one of my mates has a 46" Sony Full HD 1080p LED TV in his room connected only to his 360 and when he isn't playing 360 or on his PC he can just watch TV.
