gaming pc £500 budget

hi, im lookin to build a £500 gaming machine. I already have keyboard, mouse and monitor. Im not a heavy gamer but would like to be able to play most games on medium to high settings. At the moment i mainly play games like WoW and cs source. This year i will also be going to college to study IT. In this course theres the usual word prossesing, programming, some video editing and graphics work, but not much. A huge hardrive is not really needed as my mac has all my music on.

Also, i was wondering if anyone here has used this processor because theres a guide on Tom Hardware that gets this processor overclocked to 3.3ghz just using the basic fan.

For the american users, £500 is roughly $950.

You should build your own computer if you are confortable with that. You will get better parts for less money, and be able to customize your computer more.

Yer thats what i was planning on doing. I was just wondering if you guys could point me in the direction for what i need? cheers

oh, and i also have dvd drive aswell, so thats no problem.
