Gaming PC 1000-1500 spending limit

I'm looking to get the best bang for your buck...as good of a PC as I can create. I made a thread about it earlier and got no replies so I'm gonna change my criteria for what I want. Instead of a Black Magic Intensity Shuttle capture card I'm looking to make a PC around for...I'll do it with the less bitchy Black Magic Intensity Pro capture card. I think all you need is a PCIe 1 slot. You can find the tech specs needed for this card here...I dont think it's super drastic in what it needs though but I'm making this PC just for the capture card...so it helps to post the link to it's system requirements: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/techspecs/

You will probably want to switch the specs to Black Magic Intensity Pro since it's not defaulted to it upon link-click.

Here's the excerpt for my last thread for what I want:

I need a really good CPU since I do a lot of livestream things and it's CPU intensive for rendering out the gaming footage and shoving it online into twitch.tv . I'd love to overclock it to get even more bang since I really do need a lot of CPU.

I would like the graphics card to be a pretty good card but I doubt it needs to be on par with the CPU since the CPU is the king spec I need.

I would also like a SSD to house windows 7 stuff and at least 1TB HDD [if not 2] to hold all the videos I create.

I need at least 4 USB 2.0 drives ... if not I have an external usb multiplier adapter thing that plugs into a usb drive and gives you 4 more...not super picky.

At least 8 gigs of RAM for video editing on After Effects.

Any chance watercooling for my CPU? Never used watercooling before.

Any cheap DVD drive will work I'm sure.

I do not need a monitor / keyboard/ mouse.

I might be able to bump up the spending limit a few hundred more dollars...but I'd like to see what I can get for 1500.

Because Newegg charges shipping and +tax for CA residence I normally shop at tigerdirect for PC parts. Please take that into account to be able to squeeze the most out of this new PC rig.

I would seriously consider using another device. That one seems to have very strict requirements, and they are all out of date. What I would do before you do anything build related is call or message their support line and ask them if any of the Sandybridge LGA1155 processors are compatible. Most motherboards on the LGA1155 package have built in USB3.

This is your most advantageous option. If not, we can build around the X58 requirement, but it will cost you performance, as 1366 is a dead socket, and much more expensive to build on than 1155.

Nooooooooo I'm not using the x58 BMI Shuttle...That was my last thread. I'm using the Intensity Pro capture card which is much less angsty. Don't let this thread die like the last one now :/

ok, with that information comes some more questions.

1. do you have any brand you prefer?
2. you need a copy of Windows?
-If so, what version?
3. Do you have a preference on stores?

Thanks, wolfe! No brands I prefer...but I do like brands with solid reputations naturally, yeah?
I don't need a copy of windows.
Store preference? any store that doesn't charge shipping or CA sales tax.

Although, I'm looking for the best value'd [price in best proportions to performance] parts I'm not gonna try to hit my max spending limit if possible. I'm willing to but if there's a few hundred dollars left splurging the last 200 ,for example, on a CPU that is 5% better performance then the one below it for 200 less is kinda nuts and out of the question if you get it. So I'm saying best value you can get for at minimum 1k and at max 1.5k

I think that's about it.

ok, I know newegg charges shipping, and CA sales tax. I am hoing to use their site to look up all the parts though, as they have a very well laid out site and I know where everything is. You can take the list and use it on any site that doesn't charge tax and get the parts there.

- Good cable management, Amazing airflow, Looks sleek, and can't be beat in the price range.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 (CPU)
- This is about the best CPU you can buy as far as performance to the dollar. And it Overclocks like the demon spawn of Satan too, but even stock, it is about as good as you can get on a sub 2k budget.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 (cooler)
- Seems to be a forum standard. There may be some better, there are many worse, but this is the best as far as cost to performance goes.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840 (HDD)
-best bang for the buck on hard drive as far as speed, space, and quality goes. Prices have been shot up by some flooding though. By the time you need an upgrade, prices will probably be lower.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226221 (RAM)
-DDR3-1600, CAS7. I am not sure if better timings will aide you or not, but for the cost it is worth it. Can lower to CAS8 or CAS9 if you are not concerned with the advantages that good timings may give you.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271 (Motherboard)
- Low price, good feature set, Z68 is a good chipset. ASrock seems to be a good brand from what I hear.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096 (PSU)
-Brand is good, and enough for a good video card. Really more power than you need, but leaves room for future upgrades.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102961 (GPU)
-the most important part of a gaming computer. This is the top performing GPU on the market currently. this can be lowered, but you will benefit from it.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227725 (SSD)
-Optional. What it does is speed up the system by lowering load times. While not needed, it is advised.

Now IF I added right, you should have 100+ in the budget. The only things I would really downgrade if you want are leaving out the SSD, or getting a lower GPU.

canadaland?
his info says he is in California, USA.

NCIX ships to the US I'm sure. I'm an avid follower of Linus on YouTube, and he often talk about shipping and such.

If only NCIX had an EU site.

Anyway, go for the LGA1155 socket. Cheap and amazing. If you only have 1 monitor, buy a 1GB graphics card instead of the mainstream 2GB. Saves you a few dollars that you can spend on a better CPU, CPU cooler and motherboard for better overclocking.
(GPU recommendation based on price/performance: NVIDIA 560ti 1GB or AMD Radeon HD 6950 1GB)

he has a 1500 budget. It would be asinine to use a 560ti or 6950 on that budget. It would be like using $.50 spark plugs on a Bugatti Veyron.

Above the 560/6870, it is stupid to look at performance:$ as a motivator. You have to pay for performance.

And his CPU is the best gaming CPU out there for the money. Any more expensive CPU will have minimum benefits that will not justify the extra price.

And with good airflow, he can easily make 4.5ghz on that cooler. Stay with the graphics card.
