Hello! Thanks for taking a look at my post. Let's get to it.

I am looking to build a Gaming PC that may last me a few years, with a price range stated as above.

Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Higher or Top-Notch graphics. (Generally right below or at max settings for most games.)
  • Decently sized Hard Drive. Nothing too large, but something with enough storage space. Generally not anything larger than 1TB. (I do own a 500gb external.)
  • Fast loading times, or better, that fit within the budget.
  • Larger case. Looking to keep the cause for a longer period of time so I am able to just upgrade the parts, rather than having the need to change cases constantly.
  • At least 8gb of RAM.
  • Anything else to compliment the above.

Overclocking: I am not looking into overclocking at all.

OS: I do prefer Windows 7 over Windows 8. Not familiar with Windows 8 at all. What are its advantages? I took a high dislike to its "dashboard" feel that it presents.

Monitors:
Main Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Side Monitor Resolution: 1600x900

Note: This is my first time building a gaming PC of my own. I appreciate all the help/advice I can receive!

Here is what I do have: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitors, Wireless Adapter.

Thank yous in advance to anyone that can help!

For a reference, here is a build from another site I used. Looking for something either similar or possibly better, within the budget.

Alright, thank you much for the build. I see its quite similar in parts, with some modifications.

What do you think of Windows 7 and Windows 8?

I've always had Windows 7, so I can't really speak on behalf of Windows 8. What you can do is ask the guys on this forum or look on online and then make a decision.

Idk if this is still true but ATI cards boast eyefinity support which is support for gaming on multiple monitors; the last I knew nvidia could only do this with an SLI setup.
If possible, get the best GPU you can afford, PC games are GPU limited when it comes to performance (not that ram and CPU's dont come into a picture). Your video card will be the brains behind any game you have.
