Hows this look... its gonna be for my gaming;

AMD X2 4400+ (OC'in)
Microsoft Windows x64 OS
2x 1GB CORSAIR XMS 2-2-2-5 RAM
148GB (2 x 74GB WD 10K Raptor RAID 0) HD
ASUS A8N SLI Premium
1 x 7800GTX
Sound blaster Pro 4 Audio
Thermaltake VA8000 Case Black
Logitech 3100 Wireless Desktop(3100 Keyboard/MX1000 Mouse)
2 x Lite On 16x DVD+/-RW

Let me just warn you, I don't know if Microsoft has fixed these problems yet or not. But about 2 months ago I got myself a copy of windows xp pro 64bit, and about 80% of my drivers didn't work because they windows 64 wasn't compatible with them. Now I don't know maybe Microsoft fixed the problems but it might be something to watch out for.

Thanks for comments!

I'll post any problems with x64... hopefully I wont get any.

Anyway its gonna cost me with shipping $2350

I dont... loan, gotta make payments.

So no one really mentioned anything.. how is it, all good for eachother? Goods/Bads?

No point of raptors in RAID, you can get similar peroformance from 16 mb cache 7,200 drives. Otherwise looks good. If your a major tweaker though you may want to go with the DFI lanparty SLI-DR or UT SLI-DR.

Like if you do super major overclocks, the lanparty series usualy does better. But like for me it wasnt worth my getting it.

Well, it looks fine to me......but i'd look at the NEC 3500 series dvd burners instead of the LiteOn ones. and the raptor's are overrated, but i'm not gunna try to convince you not to buy them.....

save yourself the trouble and get drivers off the device manufacturers instead

- id get the 4200 or 4600... that extra 512k per core isnt gonna be earth shattering
- id ditch the raptors -- especially if you're making a gaming box
- for the price of the ASUS a8nsli premium, you can get better boards
- depending on the price of the Corsair memory (and which are u getting, Corsair makes a whole bunch), you can possibly do better... personally id have a look at the pc4000c25 stuff
- if thats a 16X3 litey DVDrw then id reconsider. some counters in CD/DVD 101.
- What PSU is powering all of that?

im not sure on the PSU, recommend?
see PSU 101

Also, im switching the Mobo to this
Nice mobo

The Ram is awesome, im not touching
That doesnt answer my question as to what the RAM is....

Ide rather have the 4400, better then 4200, and im gonna OC,
You already probably wouldnt notice the performance delta and if you're OCing you really wouldnt notice. But it's your money....

I like Lite-Ons, ive always used and theyve never failed me. Im getting highest speeds.
You say that like high speed burning is a good idea ... only if you're out to hunt down P0/P1 errors ;)

i would go for RAID 3 as it it basically RAID 0 but with file protection on the third hardrvie if u get another
which RAID3 controller would you use? :).
