Gaming pc for friend

My friend is trying to build a gaming pc for roughly $800 and because I built a computer once he assumes i know how to pick the parts for his.

These are the parts he picked from this website (mind you, he lives in the US not Canada). Is this a even a good build? Could he get something better for closer to his price point?

If your friend wants to keep it closer to 800 then go with what Cisco said and get a FX6300 and a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
