Gaming PC upgrade

Hi,
I started playing battlefield 3 but on higher resolutions i get lag i play on 1600x900 low details and i get lag.
My system is
Intel i5 661 stock cooler
2x4gb Kingston 1333mhc
Gigabyte h55m-s2h
Palit gtx 460 SE
PSU:Raptox 600W
I wonder what should i upgrade and what causes the lag.
My budget is about 250$
 
It is usually the graphics card that causes the lag, since that's what games use the most.

That being said, I wouldn't trust any high end card on that power supply.
 
no it wont, at least not for long. It is a low quality, and probably underpowered PSU.

The game itself recommends a 460, so you should be fine. Get a quality PSU, and a possible upgrade to a quad core CPU will help a lot.
