Hi,
at the end of January I should have enough money to build a basic gaming rig. I know how to put the components together ect.
I have a budget of around $800 for the computer without the screen mouse ect.
I already know which motherboard I will probably get, the ASRock Z77 Extream 4. http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/189558/MOTHERBOARD_INTEL_SOCKET_1155/Asrock/Z77_EXTREME4.asp

I was wondering if someone could put together a build list for me for $800
I'll be ordering from http://www.techbuy.com.au so use that for component pricing.

thanks

That motherboard is not much better. Intel boards are not as well built as Asus, Gigabyte, or MSI.
I don't recommend the Z77E4 because it is marketed above what it can do. The Power phase is sold as digital 8+4, and it is only partially digital, with 4+1+1 using doublers. This leads to a inconsistent power delivery system. Also, the SATA controllers have had some issues with them. Quality is a whole different issue to. With ASrock boards, you either get a very good board, or a paper weight. Not many fall anywhere inbetween.
For that price range (140ish), look at the P8P67-V LX, P8Z77-V LX, Z77X-UD3H or above.

Eberything else on that list looks good to me. But you may want to look at a HD7770 or HD7850, as they are newer, less power hungry and more powerful cards.

Intel boards, unless you get the very top end ones are stuck with analog VRMs at 4 and 6 phase. The top of the line Z77 and X79 are digital VRM at 12 and 16 phase. Asus is much better in that regard.
