I am thinking of upgrading my PC.Can anyone suggest me a good gaming PC configuration so that i can play the next gen games on it without any problem.

So you have $1000 to add to an already built machine? If so, you can create a great machine for that.

512MB RAM

P4 2.00Ghz processor
seagate 40GB hard disk
sony cdRW combo drive

I would personally just start over, sell those parts seperately for some extra cash and put together a $1000-$1200 machine. It would be very good for gaming, with a Core 2 Duo processor and a good GPU. I think that is your best option.

I sort of said that, I dont know about really good but definitely something to get the job done well.

be careefull to buy a good power supply.... my power suply burned cus the blower just stoped working...and also a good graphics card is necessity for playing games...
