Is it work it to go quadcore at all?

Or would a Q6700 be more then plenty? 3k budget to work with so lookin for some excellent crap here. It's going to be mostly a gaming PC.

Chances are if its a gaming pc, it would be better to go with the 8800GTX 768, though its really a matter of how much money he has to spare

Also, 3k euros or US Dollars, cause its a HUGE difference.

The difference is about 100-120$, thats why I said if they had the extra money :X

I went with the 8800Ultra 768ddr3. Everything came out to $2850.
