Hello my fellow gamers, I found a deal on a rig, its $599 canadian but $300 off.

Processor Type AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5000+
Processor Speed 2.6GHz
RAM 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (Exp. To 4GB)
Hard Drive 400GB SATA (7200RPM)
Available Expansion Slots 1 x PCI, 1 x PCI-E
Cache 2 x 512KB L2
Sound Card Integrated Audio, 6 Speaker Configurable
System Bus 2000MHz

If I install a new graphics card will this system support the latest games on high settings without lag? I mean the most power hungry games using top visual settings....

also what video card should I get with this rig if I decide to buy it? ati or geforce I don't care just nothing that will break my bank.

thank you very much for any response

im getting a similar rig to u only im using an intel E6600 core 2 duo and after all my research i have been told it will cope with the new games comming out.. however im getting the 8800GTX which is going to cost me dearly.. but if u get a decent graphic card that rig will be great:)

How much are you willing to sped on the video carD? AGP or PCIE? (too lazy to look up mobo to see if theres PCIE :D)

Available Expansion Slots 1 x PCI, 1 x PCI-E

See now if you had of actually read what it was...

You would realise it is a PCI-E Motherboard.

Im a bit worried about that single PCI Slot.. Thats a bit stupid...

But how much are you willing to spend on a Graphics Card.

I really only need one, I don't plan to overclock or install a second board. Im willing to spend $200-250...what ever the best deal of the time is.

thanks

The PCI Slots are used for things such as sound cards, TV Tuner Cards, Lan Cards...

And you only have 1 of em...
